General Guidelines

Submissions are now open to all writing, regardless of whether or not it engages with the theme of ‘changing rooms’. If the piece you choose to submit does not engage with the theme, please specify by including ‘non-theme’ in the subject line.

Please email all submissions to ripplesubmissions@gmail.com with the subject line ‘RiPPLE Submission’. Include your name and KU ID number in the body of your email, but do not include these anywhere within your creative piece or in the document title.

Students may submit up to three pieces, with each piece submitted through a separate email.
Written Submissions

Prose (fiction or non-fiction) up to 3,000 words
-
Poetry up to 40 lines
-
Stage play/screenplay/script up to 10 pages

Submit in .doc/.docx/.pdf format
-
Please use Times New Roman 12 pt. and double space the document

The title of your piece may be included in the document, but not your name
Image Submissions
* Please keep in mind that all image submissions will be printed in black & white, so your submission must be either in or conducive to this format.

Image submissions may include graphic novel excerpts, drawings, paintings, digital illustrations, photography, collage or images of other visual works such as sculptures

Graphic novel submissions may be up to 3 pages

Submit in .jpeg/.jpg/.png/.pdf format
